QUICK ANSWERS  to some  COMMON QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE

Lymphatic system?

The lymphatic system is part of the immune system, it is made up of a network of vessels, capillaries, and nodes throughout our body.

The lymphatic system conducts fluid and cells that was leaked out of the blood vessels to the body tissues, and conducts it back to the bloodstream.

The lymph vessels bring the lymph to the lymph nodes, that are spread all over the body, (arm pit, groin, throat, intestine, and other places), to be checked and filtered.

The lymphatic system has quite a few important jobs:

  • Maintains the balance of proteins and fluids in the body’s tissues.

  • Fighting bacteria

  • Dealing with cancer cells

  • Observing some of the fats in our diet from the intestine

WHAT IS

Lymphoedema?

When the lymphatic system does not drain fluids from the tissues properly, the tissues swell. A short time swelling called oedema, but when it takes longer, tree months or more, it called lymphoedema.

There are 2 kinds of Lymphoedema:

  • Primary lymphoedema – Due to a genetic malformation of the lymphatics.

  • Secondary Lymphoedema – Due to damage or destruction of lymph nodes or vessel. Can be cause after a surgery or radiotherapy associated with cancer treatment.

WHAT IS

RLD?

RLD stands for Reflexology Lymph Drainage. It stimulates the lymphatic reflexes on the feet so it will optimise its function in the body. It’s a gentle, non invasive modality, easily applied through the feet.

RLD is an award winning reflexology technique, developed by Sally Kay.

WHAT IS

Reflexology?

Reflexology is a non-invasive modality which complements other therapies and modern medicine. We use our thumbs and fingers to apply pressure on specific areas of the feet or hands, based on a theory that those are connected to certain organs and body parts. All our body systems (digestive musculoskeletal, nervous, respiratory, urinary, endocrine, and lymphatic) have reflexes on our feet, and the aim is to improve the faction of those systems and bring them to work to their full potential.

Reflexology is a great way to reduce symptoms of many health issues, and it is a beautiful way for calming, relaxing, and rejuvenating your mind and body.

HOW LONG IS A

REFLEXOLOGY

Session?

A session is 50 minutes and includes a combination of traditional Reflexology with RLD.

Every person is different but in general, when an acute health issue is involved, depends, of course, with the issue, I recommend 4-6 weekly sessions.

For general health and relaxation maintenance, I found 1 a month works perfectly. (suggestion only)

WHAT IS

Reconnective Healing?

Reconnective Healing is a holistic approach to energy healing developed by Dr. Eric Pearl. It focuses on facilitating a connection between individuals and a spectrum of healing frequencies that are said to encompass not only energy, but also light and information. Dr. Eric Pearl originally discovered this healing technique after experiencing spontaneous healings and heightened abilities to facilitate healing in others.

Reconnective Healing sessions typically involve a practitioner acting as a conduit for these healing frequencies, allowing them to flow through and around the client's body. The process is non-invasive and generally doesn't involve physical touch. It is believed that the interaction with these frequencies can help to address various physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances by promoting a state of balance and harmony within the body's energy system.

This approach emphasizes the idea that healing is not just limited to addressing specific symptoms, but involves a broader enhancement of overall well-being. People seeking Reconnective Healing often do so to alleviate physical discomfort, reduce stress, enhance personal growth, or experience a deeper sense of connection and healing on multiple levels.
